JOY! That is what I experience when I paint.

I would rather paint than eat. God's creation, words (especially God's Word), and old & worn items inspire me. I see God's personality in colors, children and nature and I long to paint it.

I primarily use oils because they are forgiving and allow me the flexibility to change colors and scenes over a period of time. Many of my paintings come with stories and are of places that I want to jump right into before, during and after I have painted them.
